Compromised Account / Hacked Account

Type: Incident

Immediate Actions:

1. Stop using the affected account immediately.

2. If you are signed in to HUB, Outlook, Teams, or another Lake Land system, sign out.

3. Observe:

   - If you noticed unexpected sign-in prompts, sent emails, or account changes you did not make → continue

   - If you cannot safely access the account → continue

4. Contact the Help Desk immediately and report a suspected compromised account.

Containment:

1. Do not approve unexpected Microsoft Authenticator prompts.

2. Do not respond to suspicious emails, links, or password reset messages.

3. Save screenshots or details of suspicious activity if available.

Escalate:

- Always escalate immediately
